Orca Month 2023 Ends Today!

Last Hope to Free Lolita and Corky!

There are two captive orcas still imprisoned for over 50 years. Southern Resident, Lolita, at Miami Seaquarium and Northern Resident, Corky, at SeaWorld. Both were captured from the Washington and British Columbia West Coast. The Keiko freedom attempt had to hopefully find the family, but the families of both Lolita and Cork are known.

Please read the following plans to try to return them after several failed campaigns. This is their last Hope!

Beware of “Sanctuary” Frauds!
Do not support tourist attractions with cetaceans and other wildlife posing as “sanctuaries”! Many “Swim with Dolphins” businesses falsely call themselves “sanctuaries”!
We must also stop the Aquarium/Zoo Industries from their attempts to rebrand as Research Tourism Sanctuaries! They have no plans to ever rehab and release orcas and others!

No More Compromises! Whale Protection Needed!
Over the decades it has been disappointing that some organizations supported the Vancouver Aquarium expansions that continued the captivity of orcas, belugas, other cetaceans and a ‘Zoo”. Lifeforce succeeded in obtaining a Cetacean Ban in 1996 that was later improved. One organization leader who said, "If I was a whale, I'd like to live at the Vancouver Aquarium” also stated that the Vancouver Aquarium didn’t need any laws telling them what to do.

Lifeforce Breakthroughs
Decades ago, Lifeforce Founder, Peter Hamilton, developed Orca Sound Attractors to attract them away from any oil spills. But, why are deafening “seal bombs” still recommended by governments? Also he urged “Ropeless Fishing” release methods to end whale entanglement that were only many years later being considered.

Lifeforce continues our investigations and campaigns that led to whale watching regulations.

Captivity is Captivity – It Must End! Improved Whale Protection Laws Are Needed!

Numerous Animal Rights violations that we fought against for decades continue today! We must rethink and stop the compromises. Please Donate to Lifeforce: HELP LIFEFORCE HELP ORCAS!
